Grant applications are now being accepted for North Dakota agriculture companies interested in exporting their food products into El Salvador. A trade mission to El Salvador is planned for Sept. 24-26, 2026.
The purpose of the mission to El Salvador is to develop and foster relationships between North Dakota agriculture companies and Salvadorian companies, and to expand North Dakota agriculture exports into El Salvador. The U.S. is El Salvador’s leading trade partner and a highly receptive market for U.S. products. El Salvador’s economy is growing with a 3.7% increase in 2025. El Salvador is the 43rd largest export market for North Dakota agricultural commodities.
The top U.S. exports to El Salvador in 2024 were corn soybean meal, cotton, pork products, food preparations, dairy products, wheat, poultry meat, and processed vegetables, condiments and sauces.
