Grape, Fruit and Wine Promotion

The Grape, Wine and Fruit Promotion Fund is governed by the Grape and Wine Advisory Committee. The Committee consists of two individuals who are grape producers; one individual who is the producer of a fruit, other than grapes, used in vinification; two individuals who own wineries located in the state; and one representative of the ND Grape and Wine Association. The North Dakota Department of Agriculture administers the fund.

The mission of the Grape, Wine and Fruit Promotion fund is to provide research and promotion in support of the grape and wine industry in North Dakota.

Funding for the Grape, Wine and Fruit Promotion Fund is included in the Agriculture Commissioner's budget. The (NDDA) has a total of $80,000 in grape and wine program grant funding for the 2021-23 biennium. In this second round, the committee will entertain proposals no greater than $20,000 to support grape and wine promotion and marketing projects for the 2021-2023 biennium.

The Grape and Wine Research, Promotion and Marketing Grant program is now OPEN. Proposals are due by 4 pm CDT Thursday, June 9, 2022.
