Applications are now being accepted for the Pride of Dakota Locals Foods Grant. The program will help North Dakota schools bring more locally-produced foods into their meal programs by purchasing products from Pride of Dakota members. A total of $20,000 is available, with grants ranging from $2,000 - $4,000.
North Dakota schools and school districts operating child nutrition programs are eligible to apply. Applicants must provide a dollar for dollar match up to $4000 (max amount of the grant).
Schools should focus their applications on how grant funds will increase the use of Pride of Dakota products in school meals, with a clear plan and budget showing how the funds will be spent.
Applications must be submitted in electronic form by 4:00 p.m. on Oct. 16, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
