BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring will host the Midwestern Association of State Departments of Agriculture’s (MASDA) Annual Meeting, June 29 – July 2, 2025, in Medora, ND. The intersection of ag and energy will be the focal point of this gathering of state and federal officials along with numerous agriculture and energy industry leaders.
MASDA is a regional association of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) and is comprised of the commissioners, secretaries, and directors of agriculture from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. However, all members of NASDA - elected and appointed commissioners, secretaries, and directors of the departments of agriculture in all fifty states and four U.S. territories – have been invited. NASDA grows and enhances agriculture by forging partnerships and creating consensus to achieve sound policy outcomes between state departments of agriculture, the federal government, and stakeholders.
“This annual regional event gathers key staff from the Midwest’s 13 state departments of agriculture for educational discussions on relevant agricultural topics, the opportunity to share successes and challenges and to learn about agriculture in the host state,” Goehring said. “We’ll be having presentations and tours about agriculture and energy and how they work together to grow our economy and create sustainable solutions for North Dakota.”
