BISMARCK – The Pride of Dakota Harvest Showcase returns to Dickinson this weekend. The West River Ice Center will be filled with vendor booths and shoppers this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6-7.

“This is the time and place to stock up on your favorite Pride of Dakota products,” Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said. “More than 70 booths will be filled with a tremendous variety of North Dakota-made foods and condiments, artwork, household items, jewelry, apparel and much more.”

The showcase is open from 4 - 9 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission and reusable shopping bags are free and sponsored by the Bank of North Dakota College SAVE Plan. Parking is also free for Pride of Dakota shoppers.

“We are pleased to offer convenient Friday evening shopping at our Harvest Showcases this year, as well as a full day on Saturday,” Goehring said.

An additional Pride of Dakota Harvest Showcase is scheduled for Oct. 11-12 at the Jamestown Civic Center. Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcases are scheduled for Nov. 1-3, in the Alerus Center, Grand Forks; Nov. 9-10, in the State Fair Center, Minot; Nov. 22-24 in the Scheels Arena, Fargo; and Dec. 6-8, in the Bismarck Event Center.

Administered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program provides member companies with cooperative marketing and promotional events, such as in-store demonstrations, Pride of Dakota Day and the Harvest and Holiday Showcases. The program also provides educational opportunities and representation at regional, national and international marketing expositions. More than 500 North Dakota companies are Pride of Dakota members.
