BISMARCK, N.D. – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has announced North Dakota Agricultural Products Utilization Commission (APUC) awards for eight projects. The awards totaling $926,800 were approved at the APUC quarterly meeting Nov. 19-20 in Jamestown.
APUC is a program of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture that administers grant programs for research and development of new and expanded uses for North Dakota agricultural products which support the development of concepts and products that support our rural communities and agriculture operations. The grants can be used for basic and applied research, marketing and utilization, farm diversification, nature-based agritourism, prototype and technology and technical assistance.
The following received approval:
Agristo North Dakota LLC was awarded $250,000 to develop engineering plans for a portion of a new potato processing plant. Contact Nele Warnez at +32 474 62 68 41.

Triple 8 Assets LLC was awarded $160,000 to establish a pilot laboratory to validate AgriBIND proteins and elements used in fertilizer manufacturing from oil wastewater. Contact Steve Kemp at 701-770-8682.
