BISMARCK – The North Dakota State Board of Animal Health and the North Dakota Department of Agriculture’s Animal Health Division are reminding horse owners to protect their horses from equine herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1). A horse in Bottineau County has been confirmed positive for equine herpesvirus myeloencephalopathy (EHM), the neurologic manifestation of the virus.

Doug Burgum and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring have announced the availability of a program that will reimburse eligible producers for a portion of feed transportation expenses. The Emergency Feed Transportation Assistance Program will help producers who have verifiable feed losses as a result of extraordinary weather conditions this fall.

BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring is reminding farmers with federal crop insurance that Tuesday, Dec. 10 is the United States Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency (USDA-RMA) deadline for farmers to file their notice of loss with insurers for most spring-planted crops including corn and soybeans.
