BISMARCK, N.D. – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has announced Agriculture Diversification and Development (ADD) Fund awards for five projects. The awards totaling $1,084,000 were approved at the ADD quarterly meeting May 28 in Minot.

BISMARCK – Farm to School equipment grants have been awarded to 13 recipients to purchase equipment that will further their participation in the Farm to School program, which allows schools to purchase food from local producers for their school lunch menus.

BISMARCK – With warmer weather on the way, it is important for the public to be aware of invasive species. Each year, harmful invasive weeds, plant pests and diseases cost the U.S. $40 billion in losses to cropland, grasslands, woody areas, forests and riparian areas, and expensive eradication and control efforts, according to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has announced that applications are now being accepted for county fair resiliency grants. The grants can be used by county agriculture fair associations in the state for the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects. County agriculture fair associations or associations that run or manage a county fair in North Dakota are eligible to apply.
