BISMARCK, N.D. – The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Sonny Perdue has announced that many Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices will reopen temporarily in the coming days to perform limited functions for farmers and ranchers.

BISMARCK – Palmer amaranth (Amaranthus palmeri) and houndstongue (Cynoglossum officinale L.) have been added to the state noxious weed list.

BISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) has developed a 24c Special Local Needs (SLN) label for the in-crop use of Dicamba on soybeans which prohibits applications after June 30. The new federal requirements only allow for in-crop applications prior to beginning bloom (R1 growth phase) or no more than 45 days after planting, whichever comes first. The North Dakota-specific use protocols are in addition to the federal requirements.
